Top 10 Dollar Store Deals

Humble Dollar Store

I love shopping at a dollar store! They’re cheap and you can find the best deals to save your family money! Plus, it’s thrilling to pay a dollar for something that the rest of the world pays three to six dollars for!

My favorite deals are basic items, but are some of the best value items I’ve found at the dollar store!

The Humble Bee: Edition 6

Welcome to the sixth edition of The Humble Bee, the official newspaper of Humbleville!

Here at The Humble Bee, it is our goal to provide you, the citizens of Humbleville, with quality news coverage of the latest stories and upcoming events in Humbleville.

Construction Near Completion

This week, the Mayor held a press conference to give the citizens update on the Humbleville construction.

“As many of you already know, Humbleville has been under construction for the last few weeks, and I’m happy to announce that we’re almost done!

We’re hoping that once construction is complete, it will be much easier Humbleville citizens to navigate through our busy little town!”

The Mayor also said in her statement that she is excited about the progress Humbleville’s made in the last year and that she’s looking forward to what the future has in store for Humbleville!

The Residential Boom

Speaking about progress, Humbleville has seen a substantial rise in citizens in the last 2 months. Earlier today, Town Hall released the new official population count.

The Humbleville population has hit 327 citizens, a significant increase from the last population count of 200 citizens back in February!

For those who are unaware, we keep track of population by counting the total number of the Mayor’s Twitter followers.

A New Sheriff In Town

To help keep order among our growing population, the Mayor appointed a new Humbleville Sheriff. In a town press conference held earlier this week, the Mayor introduced Sheriff Paul as the new head of Police!

When asked for a statement, Sheriff Paul kept his remarks brief and light-hearted, “I look forward to serving this fine town and keeping the Mayor in line.”

The citizens of Humbleville were certainly happy to learn about the arrival of our new Sheriff and gave him a warm welcome after the press conference.

As always, you can count on The Humble Bee to give you the buzz on the latest news in Humbleville!

Saving money doesn’t always happen instantly, like when you use a coupon. Sometimes saving money can be preserving what you already own.

Recipes to Use Leftover Blueberries

Blueberry Recipes

Tasty alternatives to tossing out extra berries!

I love blueberries, whether I’m just snacking on them or cooking with them, but it seems like every time I bring fresh blueberries home, I can never finish them and they eventually get thrown out.

It’s not that I suddenly decide I don’t like blueberries, I just sort of forget about them when I don’t have any plans for them.

Cheap Valentine’s Day: Intelligent or Insulting?

Is it wrong to save money on Valentine’s Day?

Earlier today I was on Twitter, catching up on some reading when I noticed an interesting tweet. It was about how Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year you should never be cheap.

Their reason? The obvious one, because you’re supposed to show someone how much they mean to you. But this got me thinking something entirely different…

A Humble Opinion on Extreme Couponing

Extreme Couponing: Revenge of the Scissors!

A few weeks ago, I had just finished up some shopping at a local Target here in Humbleville and headed to the checkout. There was no line, just the couple who was paying at the register.

I happened to glance into their cart and noticed it was loaded with barbecue sauce, just one brand, and well over 4 dozen bottles of it. When the cashier finished ringing up all their coupons, the coupon left with their barbecue sauce for only $2.14.

Did You Forget The Dollar Store?

The following article is brought to you by our neighbors at

Humble Dollar Store

Times are tight, and people are saving money anywhere they can. People are getting into extreme couponing, even using tactics that border on deceitful or illegal (please note, I’m not saying all extreme couponing is that way!).

When people are watching their pennies, it’s important to squeeze every bit of buying power you can from your dollars.
